Post-Roadtrip Reflection

First and foremost, thanks to everyone who tuned into my Instagram stories to see my travels and put up with my less-posting! You guys are the real MVPs.

This cross-country trip has really opened my eyes to not only the world around me but the opportunities that are at our fingertips. It taught me to stop and appreciate things for what they are, to adapt and to push all my fears out the door.

My top favorite places along our trip were: Denver, CO (The city and Rockies game) and South Bend, IN (mainly because of the hotel we stayed at).

I loved seeing the colorful hills and mountains as well as driving through the curvy valleys. It was also interesting to see the different temperature changes as we traveled through.

My thoughts on my new home (now that I am officially here): I love the people, the beaches and THE FOOD! I have so much more drive and energy since I have moved to SD and I am so excited to explore it some more! I am still currently looking for a full-time position, making BBM a side gig for some additional cash$$ flow! I can’t wait to share this Cali adventure with you all! Don’t forget to message me if you’re ever in town!

Overall, Don’t ever let your hometown or anyone keep you from your dreams because once you take that leap, you can do anything!

Side note: This time change is really messing me up and my internet hasn’t officially been set up yet due to my new apartment not offering the best connection so please bare with me until I get my sh** together!

Thank you for your support bbs!

The Count Down BEGINS!

It’s almost go-time, people!

happydance.gif

Yes, there are OFFICIALLY 3 days until I leave NH and drive across country to San Diego for my new life! So many emotions and so much to do!

ughh.gif

So, I just wanted to give you guys a heads up about a few things:

1) Next week, I will be driving across the country so I won’t be posting as much on BBM’s pages until I get settled in

2) I won’t be posting a blog next week - giving myself a break just for the week!

3) I am not taking on any new clients or business projects right now. I am keeping a majority of my clients and working remotely but I am actively looking for a full-time position and if I find the right one, it will be taking up a lot of my time.

Watch for my Instagram stories of all our travels through the U.S. and give me some suggestions on sight-seeing por favor!

Thanks for all your support everyone! I’ll see you on the west coast!

My Big Move to California!

gasp.gif

I know right?? I'm nuts.

It is officially, official - I am moving to San Diego, California in September!  If you know this already, I apologize for my constant ranting and raving but I am just so excited.  I have made it known to all my clients and my part-time job so I can now finally say it out loud!

Since I was in high school, I have wanted to live in California.  I knew I was meant to live there and when I visited San Diego for the first time in 2016, it couldn't feel more like home to me.  I had a few PR agencies that I have always dreamt of working for - now I have the opportunity to apply to them!

So, what are my plans with life, with BBM, with everything?

Blonde Boss will continue to help current clients remotely but I will be taking on a full time position at a PR  and marketing firm to continue learning and growing!  Although this will be a major change, I am ready to step into something totally new and get back into what I went to school for.

My Goals for Moving Out West:

1) Refresh and expand my skills in public relations and social media marketing

2) Get involved with new interests groups to meet people

3) Be more present in my every day life

4) Get involved in a charity of some sort and/or volunteer

5) Continue building my current client's pages even from across the country

On September 24th, I will be driving across country with my love, exploring the pit stops along the way! I am so grateful for this opportunity to finally move to my favorite city and I am excited to see where this journey takes me.

As of now, BBM isn't taking on new clients but looking for project based opportunities to continue learning and helping businesses in NH!  Thank you to everyone who supports BBM and I look forward to sharing a whole new perspective to you all!

Well now you know why I love this place!  California avocado toast from The Great Maple...YUM!

So, as most of you know, I am heading out west for a week with my boyfriend and we are super excited to explore more places!!  There are so many things that we didn't get to see, even with our two other trips there, so I am making a list for some necessary pit stops!  If you have never been to San Diego, I have read these are the top places to see and I recommend you checking them out online to see what they have to offer.

My San Diego Bucket List:

  1.  Balboa Park
  2. Torrey Pines
  3. Point Loma
  4. Belmont Park
  5. "Favorite Color" Mural in La Jolla
  6. Coffee + Flowers Cafe
  7. "Greetings from San Diego" Mural
  8. Holy Matcha
  9. June Shine Co. Kombucha Bar
  10. Square Bar Cafe

Other places you need to check out (that I loved) are Sunset Cliffs, La Jolla Cove,  Petco Park and The Coronado Bridge and Hotel!
