The Count Down BEGINS!

It’s almost go-time, people!

Yes, there are OFFICIALLY 3 days until I leave NH and drive across country to San Diego for my new life! So many emotions and so much to do!

So, I just wanted to give you guys a heads up about a few things:

1) Next week, I will be driving across the country so I won’t be posting as much on BBM’s pages until I get settled in

2) I won’t be posting a blog next week - giving myself a break just for the week!

3) I am not taking on any new clients or business projects right now. I am keeping a majority of my clients and working remotely but I am actively looking for a full-time position and if I find the right one, it will be taking up a lot of my time.

Watch for my Instagram stories of all our travels through the U.S. and give me some suggestions on sight-seeing por favor!

Thanks for all your support everyone! I’ll see you on the west coast!

My Big Move to California!

I know right?? I'm nuts.

It is officially, official - I am moving to San Diego, California in September!  If you know this already, I apologize for my constant ranting and raving but I am just so excited.  I have made it known to all my clients and my part-time job so I can now finally say it out loud!

Since I was in high school, I have wanted to live in California.  I knew I was meant to live there and when I visited San Diego for the first time in 2016, it couldn't feel more like home to me.  I had a few PR agencies that I have always dreamt of working for - now I have the opportunity to apply to them!

So, what are my plans with life, with BBM, with everything?

Blonde Boss will continue to help current clients remotely but I will be taking on a full time position at a PR  and marketing firm to continue learning and growing!  Although this will be a major change, I am ready to step into something totally new and get back into what I went to school for.

My Goals for Moving Out West:

1) Refresh and expand my skills in public relations and social media marketing

2) Get involved with new interests groups to meet people

3) Be more present in my every day life

4) Get involved in a charity of some sort and/or volunteer

5) Continue building my current client's pages even from across the country

On September 24th, I will be driving across country with my love, exploring the pit stops along the way! I am so grateful for this opportunity to finally move to my favorite city and I am excited to see where this journey takes me.

As of now, BBM isn't taking on new clients but looking for project based opportunities to continue learning and helping businesses in NH!  Thank you to everyone who supports BBM and I look forward to sharing a whole new perspective to you all!

Tips for Social Media Managers When Planning A Vacay

This week has been crazy!  From packing to scheduling content to making sure my last blog is posted (cough, cough, finished this one last minute).  Social media managers know how hard it can be to unplug and unwind on a vacation, especially when social media is used for almost everything! How do you know when to put your phone away and enjoy what's going on around you?  This can be answered simply with... PREPARATION!

I want to give you 3 quick tips to making sure your social media pages are set and ready to go so you can actually enjoy your vacation!

1) Schedule your SM posts

2) Post Less if Needed

3) Set aside time 1-3 times during your vacay for engagement

Sounds like a lot of work but... it doesn't have to be!  Make sure you set aside time a week or so before your trip to schedule content (depending on how many accounts you manage) - this will give you time to post strategically and not rush! If you are really short on time, post less! I know that might sound scary but if you give a little notice to your followers (like I will on Saturday) and just tell them you need some much needed "you time" they'll understand!  Just make sure you at least have something posted during the week to keep yourself relevant (cue the cute vacay photos) !  Lastly, if you have any downtime, try to go on and like/share/comment but put a timer on your phone to limit your work time.  This will help keep your page active without doing too much work!

. Happy vacationing friends! :)
