How to Give Yourself A Little Self Confidence Boost

Easier said than done right?

Practicing self-confidence doesn't need to be difficult - it's all about practice, practice, PRACTICE!

I notice with women my age, especially in the business world, they are constantly feeling the pressure of not only looking a certain way but having a certain level of success, productivity, and ultimately, having it all together! This can wear on our confidence and dim our light a little bit...but it doesn't need to be permanent!

This blog post idea came to me when I was scrolling through Instagram and I saw these other business women killing the game as I sat on my couch in my comfy clothes, having an off day.  I felt bad about myself, I was comparing myself to these women and how I should be doing more!  Now, to some that may be more motivating than detrimental but to me, my self confidence was dwindling by the minute.  I believe we are all capable of being our best selves but I don't think we should EVER compare ourselves to other people because not everyone's journey is the same!

So, how did I get out of my funk and move forward from my declining self confidence?

Try these steps:

1) Write down how you're feeling

Get a journal, write down your negative thoughts and CROSS THEM OUT! Then write down 5 things you love about yourself!

2) Say your affirmations

Find 1 or 2 sayings that you can say when you're feeling bad about yourself. Say them until you feel better. Post them everywhere so you so can see them always!

3) Do something you love / are good at

Everyone has something they're good at and that they love.  Do those things more, your confidence will skyrocket!

4) Hang out with positive people

The people you are around all the time can effect you! Find positive people that have great self confidence and learn from them! Kick negative people to the curb!

5) Keep yourself healthy

Make sure you are exercising and eating a healthy diet! If you look good, you feel good!

We all need a little boost from time to time and if you follow these tips, you'll be on the path to be the amazingly confident queen you are meant to be!

My Big Move to California!

I know right?? I'm nuts.

It is officially, official - I am moving to San Diego, California in September!  If you know this already, I apologize for my constant ranting and raving but I am just so excited.  I have made it known to all my clients and my part-time job so I can now finally say it out loud!

Since I was in high school, I have wanted to live in California.  I knew I was meant to live there and when I visited San Diego for the first time in 2016, it couldn't feel more like home to me.  I had a few PR agencies that I have always dreamt of working for - now I have the opportunity to apply to them!

So, what are my plans with life, with BBM, with everything?

Blonde Boss will continue to help current clients remotely but I will be taking on a full time position at a PR  and marketing firm to continue learning and growing!  Although this will be a major change, I am ready to step into something totally new and get back into what I went to school for.

My Goals for Moving Out West:

1) Refresh and expand my skills in public relations and social media marketing

2) Get involved with new interests groups to meet people

3) Be more present in my every day life

4) Get involved in a charity of some sort and/or volunteer

5) Continue building my current client's pages even from across the country

On September 24th, I will be driving across country with my love, exploring the pit stops along the way! I am so grateful for this opportunity to finally move to my favorite city and I am excited to see where this journey takes me.

As of now, BBM isn't taking on new clients but looking for project based opportunities to continue learning and helping businesses in NH!  Thank you to everyone who supports BBM and I look forward to sharing a whole new perspective to you all!

Reharnessing Your Passion(s) After Time Away

Ahhh the post-vacation depression - gets me every time!  Loss of focus, loss of energy and sometimes, loss of passion!  Now, I'm not saying we throw everything out the window but it's definitely thrown all over the floor mixed in with my laundry and I have been trying to figure out where to start.

It doesn't have to be this way though!  Recently, I have been taking steps to get out of my funk and getting back on track.  Some of these steps aren't for everyone but you should be doing something along these lines!

1) Change your creative space

2) Make a passion map with reasons why you love doing what you do

3) Meditate / Workout / Enjoy the outdoors

4) Listen to podcasts or watch videos of inspiring people

5) Make a to do list from smallest to biggest task and conquer the smaller ones first

I know it is easier said than done! But, if you can find 15 minutes within your day to do one of these steps, it will surely make a difference!  Don't allow any negativity or self-doubt get in the way of your goals.  Yes, vacation is over but your life isn't!  Make every day valuable and (maybe not like a vacation) but enjoyable in the best way possible!

Time to get to work, my friends!

New Projects & Manifestations

If you are a business owner or entrepreneur, you will resonate with the quote above.  Our businesses are always on our minds and we think of ways to grow it, make it better and make meaningful connections.  I am constantly thinking about BBM and my clients; how I can do my job better, how I can help my clients gain more exposure and how I can create the ideal business I have always wanted.  A lot has been manifesting over the last two weeks and I am so excited to begin cultivating!

First and foremost, the story of my manifestation. When I went to the Treat Mom Expo a couple weeks ago that my client, Out of The Box Tours was hosting, I sat down with one of the vendors, a local psychic, to see what she had to say.  I've NEVER been read by a psychic before so I was intrigued.  She used her tarot cards to tell me about my current and future life which both were abundant in opportunity.  15 minutes and $20 bucks later, I decided I wanted to dive deeper into that spiritual side and see what else I could learn about myself so I booked my appointment with a medium/psychic/energy healer in Manchester that my mother has been raving about! The appointment is next Monday so I will be doing a recap blog on this!

That 15 minutes has opened my mind and heart to taking on some new projects and diving deeper into certain things I have been putting off.  So, with that being said, these are the upcoming projects I have planned:

1) Teaching Social Media/SEO Courses with Cao-Tech - COMING THIS SUMMER

2) Putting together my complete BBM Social Media Content Planner into book form - GOAL BY END OF YEAR

3)  Turning my focus to a niche market like product marketing for beauty and fashion brands - By 2019

I also have some potential clients I am meeting with in the next few weeks in the fashion, lifestyle and health sectors so I am very excited to see which sign on with BBM!

I wanted to share this with you all because I believe opening yourself up to new possibilities and opportunities is a great way to grow within.  You learn your worth and what you are capable of - its a beautiful thing.  Don't ever limit yourself and never stop learning!!

I look forward to fleshing these projects out and showing you guys the process along the way!
